Technical animation is a form of explanation that uses motion to show a machine's working principle, part relationships and assembly order. Its quality is set by the brief and technical verification rather than by rendering: production does not start until which part moves, in what order and why is fixed in writing.

Typically three to eight weeks. What decides it is not rendering but the speed of verification rounds: with a named approver the project lands at the lower bound; with a diffuse decision mechanism it drifts toward the upper one.
Who it fits, who it does not
Manufacturers whose working principle cannot be understood from a still image, whose assembly or service order is critical, who cannot show the product physically at a fair, and who face a language barrier in export markets.

How the investment is determined
The main drivers are animation length, the number of moving parts, expected kinematic accuracy, whether cutaway or flow visualization is required, the condition of the source file, the number of languages and voice-overs, and the number of delivery formats.
Investment range. System build-outs generally work with six-figure budgets in Turkish lira terms. Single-product render or animation packages can be handled at a smaller scope. How is a machine working-principle animation produced?
The viewer and objective are written first, then the sequence of operation is itemised and signed off by an engineer. At storyboard stage what the camera shows and which part becomes transparent when are fixed. Production starts only after that. Projects that skip the order discover corrections during editing rather than animation, where they cost several times more.
How is technical animation priced?
Duration alone is not the measure. The same forty seconds can mean three times the workload on two different products. What matters is the number of moving parts, the expected kinematic accuracy, whether cutaway or flow visualization is needed, and the state of the source file. A fixed per-minute price is therefore misleading.
When should an exploded view be used?
When the viewer needs to understand how parts fit together. It delivers most value in service training, spare part communication and assembly guides. If internal build quality drives the purchase decision, an exploded view moves the conversation from price to technical merit.
Does my CAD file go straight into animation?
No. An engineering file is built for manufacturing, not explanation. The assembly tree is simplified, unnecessary internal parts are separated, surface errors are repaired and materials are assigned. Where a cutaway is needed, separate geometry is prepared. Skip this and the scene is technically correct but visually unusable.
In how many languages can I use the animation?
As long as text is not burnt into the frame, adding a language means a new subtitle file rather than a new render. That decision is made at the start. Where voice-over is used, keeping it to one language and only in the sales version prevents opening four languages from quadrupling the cost.
Do I need a separate version for trade fairs?
Yes. Nobody hears audio on a stand and visitors arrive mid-way. The fair version is silent, looping, comprehensible at any moment and carries a persistent on-screen title. The web version has to deliver the subject in the first three seconds and open from a poster.
Can we animate a product that is not manufactured yet?
Yes, if CAD data exists there is no need to wait for production. The critical point is revision alignment: the geometry shown must match the final production version. Otherwise the sales team describes a product that was never built, and it surfaces in the post-fair technical conversation.
Do I keep the source files?
Yes. The master 3D model, material system and animation setup are part of delivery. That means a second animation is produced from the existing setup rather than from zero, and costs markedly less than the first.
